A new university padel court in Pristina: planning for shared campus use
A university court announcement highlights the different questions campus buyers should ask when specifying a padel facility.
The industry update
FIP reports a new padel court at the University of Pristina’s Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, timed for the start of the 2026–27 academic year. The announcement presents the court as a space for sport and social interaction.
A campus court needs an operating owner
University padel projects can serve teaching, student recreation and organised activities. Before selecting a court system, identify who controls bookings, inspections and maintenance. Shared ownership without clear responsibilities can leave small defects or access problems unresolved. Include the facilities team in the specification process alongside sports staff.
A campus layout should also consider adjacent pedestrian routes, maintenance access and how players enter and leave between sessions. The surrounding site may need changes even when the court footprint fits. Discuss lighting, nearby uses and hours of operation with the local design team rather than assuming a product drawing covers the whole project.
Before you specify a court
For a procurement comparison, request a supplied-component list and a separate schedule of site works. Specify the campus location, access constraints and intended handover period. VELNUZ can discuss padel court supply against a defined project brief; academic programming, local approvals and ongoing operations remain separate planning decisions.
